Dan Hughes serves as the ONE Division Operations Manager at ONE Presidential Mortgage and has been a dedicated professional in the mortgage industry since May 1989. With decades of experience, Dan values the ever-changing nature of the business and the meaningful impact it has on people’s lives. For him, the greatest reward is helping individuals and families achieve homeownership and improve their financial futures.

Beyond mortgage operations, Dan brings an exceptional background in leadership and service. He served in leadership roles with the American Red Cross across the Southeastern United States for more than 35 years, authoring multiple State Disaster Plans for North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and Mississippi. He also served as the Southeast Regional Volunteer Partner for Planning and Evaluation and was Chairman of Disaster Services for North Carolina from 1994 to 2001, a role he jokes he “retired” from after too many hurricanes hit the state. Dan continues to support Disaster Services today in an advisory capacity.

Dan is also deeply committed to his faith community and currently serves as Lead Elder for the only megachurch in Gaston County, providing guidance and leadership at both organizational and personal levels. of work, Dan is a proud father of two and grandfather to five grandchildren, along with five “grand-dogs” and his own dog, Rufus. He enjoys reading and is a lifelong University of North Carolina fan—bleeding Carolina Blue and cheering on the Tar Heels whenever possible.
