Since 1985, David Macaione has been helping families turn houses into homes. After moving from Fairbanks, Alaska, to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to begin his career in mortgage lending, David visited Wilmington on July 4, 1986. He instantly fell in love with the area and knew it was where he wanted to be. Nearly 40 years later, David continues to share his expertise, guiding clients through one of the most meaningful investments of their lives. Helping people settle into Wilmington and its beautiful beaches is one of his favorite parts of the job.
David is married to Karen, and together they have a vibrant family that includes four grown children—Lauren, Chase, Allie, and Gabby—and seven grandchildren, ages 1 to 10. Their home is made even livelier by their two toy poodles, Finrod (Fin) and Bleu (Bleu Bear), who are brothers and bring constant joy.
Outside of work, David enjoys everything coastal life has to offer. Whether he’s strolling along the beach at low tide, boating, swimming, or surf fishing, he finds peace and happiness by the water.
